Bill success is in part of his diverse life experiences. Founder and CEO of Sands Enterprises, Inc./ Sands & Company Real Estate. Bill serves as the Broker of Record for Sands & Company Real Estate. The company is headquartered in Lancaster & Wyomissing serving Berks, Lancaster, Chester, and surrounding counties, as well as the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Sands & Company is a trend-setting boutique agency with 13 full-time multi-million dollar producing agents, the firm has established itself as a leader in the real estate industry.
Bill established www.PaRealEstate.com, one of the first web-based realty sites of its kind in Pennsylvania. Today, the firm continues to be a leader in social media marketing.
Bill’s success and unique vacation portfolio caught the interest of Daniel McGinn, the Senior Editor of The Harvard Review. In 2008, McGinn published “House Lust…. America’s Obsession with our Homes,” which included contributions by Bill Sands. The national publicity surrounding the release led to features on mainstream media platforms such as Forbes and Newsweek. Bill’s unique marketing style has also garnered attention for his listings in publications like Country Living , Cabin Life , Home Trend Magazines, and even a listing spotlight on NBC Today Show segment hosted by Barbara Corcoran. He is also frequently featured in regional newspapers and news stations.
Bill’s drive for business is matched by his dedication to the community. He has held positions on the board of the Reading Berks Association of Realtors, the City of Reading Architectural Review Board, the board of Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Reading Museum Foundation as well as Chair of their Curatorial Collections Committee. Previously, he served on the Leesport Bank Advisory Board. Additionally, Bill has served on numerous condominium boards in the United States and the United States Virgin Islands. His concerns about the environment and sustainability led him to be one of the first 25 Realtors in the State of Pennsylvania to obtain the designation from NAR and the Green Resource Council. His personal interest in and commitment to architecture are notable aspects of his professional pursuits.
